I’ve seen the Rush name popping up all over London over the past few years and have been meaning to pop in for a while, so when the chance to review the Richmond salon came up I was happy to go and see what has made this chain so popular. 

The welcome was warm in Richmond and I was quickly assessed by Heidi as to what I wanted and was despatched for a wash and very pleasant head massage before returning to her chair.

She was quick to assess that my hair is more than a little on the thick side and very competently thinned it out and created a very classic layered cut with ease and aplomb – she was also fine about not using too much product which can be a real bug bear with me and hairdressers who often try and argue with me over this. 

I was also keeping an ear out on other customer demands across the salon and there was some serious colouring going on next to me, the lady left with a fabulous set of highlights, and also the male clientele looking for a more basic offering were obviously more than happy with what they received too.

A couple of weeks down the line and my hair still looks sleek and I’m more than happy to recommend Rush as good value for money when you know exactly what you want.
